EB-1A Visa

The EB-1A “Extraordinary Ability” Visa is an employment-based category visa that allows you to obtain your own green card without a job offer or a labor certification (PERM). This applies to aliens with extraordinary ability in the sciences, arts, education, business, or athletics. What are the qualifications for the EB 1-A Visa?
To qualify for the EB1-A, the applicant must meet at least three (3) of the ten (10) criteria listed below or provide proof of a major or internationally recognized award such as an Oscar, a Pulitzer, an Olympic Medal, etc.
In addition, the applicant must provide evidence showing that he will continue to work in the United States according to the field of experience.
- Evidence of receipt of lesser nationally or internationally recognized prizes or awards for excellence in the field of endeavor;
- Evidence of the applicant’s membership in associations in the field with outstanding achievement of their members as judged by recognized national or international experts of their discipline;
- A published material about the applicant in professional or major trade publications or other media which includes the title, date, and author of the material;
- Evidence of the applicant’s participation as a judge of the work of others whether individually or on a panel;
- Original Scholarly, Artistic, Athletic, Scientific, or business-related contributions to the field;
- Evidence of authorship of scholarly articles in professional or major trade publications or other major media;
- Evidence of displayed works at artistic exhibitions or showcases;
- Evidence of critical roles or leading performance in a distinguished organization;
- Evidence of a high salary or other significantly high earnings in relation to others in the field; or
- Evidence of commercial successes in the performing arts.
