9th Annual Girls in Aviation Day Held at Sheltair Fort Lauderdale Airport

The South Florida Chapter (SoFLy) of Women in Aviation International (WAI) hosted the 9th Annual Girls in Aviation Day (GIAD) on Saturday, September 23, at Sheltair, located in Fort Lauderdale International Airport (FLL). The event aimed to inspire and foster female engagement in aviation-related careers.
Our immigration attorney, Seth Finberg, was present in attendance and handed out creative pilot licenses to the participants.
Attendees also had the opportunity to explore an aerospace-themed activities center, engage with various exhibits, and listen to the empowering experiences of women in the aviation industry.
“Aviation isn’t just for the boys; it’s for everyone with a passion for flight. We’re all about showcasing women’s pivotal roles in aviation, from pioneering trailblazers to the future of aviation,” said Immigration Attorney Seth Finberg.
Women in Aviation International (WAI) is a nonprofit organization committed to fostering and promoting the advancement of women across all fields and interests within aviation and aerospace.
